Aloys ferdinand Gangkofner
Gangkofner was born in Germany and well known for his experimental approach to glass design, using techniques such as etching, sandblasting and spraying to create unique textures and patterns. He was also interested in the use of light and color in his designs, creating pieces that seemed to change color depending on the angle at which they were viewed. Gangkofner won numerous awards throughout his career and exhibited his work in museums and galleries around the world. He also taught at the Design University in Munich and the Applied Arts School in Nuremberg. Today his creations are highly appreciated by collectors and enthusiasts of modern glass art.
