Carl Fagerlund
Carl Fagerlund was born in 1915 in Sweden. In 1946, Fagerlund commenced his tenure at Orrefors and swiftly ascended to the position of design team leader. Pioneering the utilization of groundbreaking glassblowing methods like hot pressing and fusing colored glass, he crafted distinctive and contemporary designs.
Among his most renowned achievements are the "Dokumentär" lamp series and the "Fuga" lamp, both mass-produced and now revered as staples of Scandinavian design.
Fagerlund garnered numerous accolades for his contributions, including the esteemed Lunning Award in 1955. His artistic endeavors have been showcased at various global design exhibitions and have found a permanent home in the collections of numerous art and design museums.
