Anders Pehrson

K. Anders Pehrson was a Swedish designer born 1912 in Gothenburg. In Gothenburg he studied engineering and stated working as a Design Manager for Philips in 1952. For Philips he was responsible for many lighting designs. He quit Philips in 1963. He became the owner of company Ateljé Lyktan in 1964. For this company he designed some of the most classic design lights, such as the Bumling ceiling lamp, the Simris table lamp and the 781 Simris floor lamp. He is among the greatest lighting designers of the Scandinavian Modern era.
