About this item

Louis van Teeffelen Wébé Dining chairs for Wébé, Dutch Design 1950s

4 rosewood dining chairs, model Upspula in mint green fabric by Louis van Teeffelen.

Wébé was a Dutch company from the mid century known for their wooden furniture. Louis van Teeffelen was one of the most important designers for the company. He was inspired by Danish design, which is often found in his designs. This dining room set is a nice example of his work.

The set is in good condition with new fabric and filling to the chairs.

Louis Van Teeffelen

Louis van Teeffelen was the most important designer at Wébé. His work was often influenced by Danish mid century modern. Like Danish designs of the same era, he mainly used teak, brass connectors and brackets and black painted elements. His most famous work is probably his Pelican Chair and his modular shelving system.
