Natural oak rocking chair with papercord seating. Designed in 1944 by Hans Wegner with the help of Borge Mogensen.

Hans J Wegner
Hans Wegner (1914-2007) was a resourceful Danish furniture designer and made Danish design famous in the 1950s. He designed the Peacockchair, Windsorchair and the Y-chair. He is also known for the JH 501/503 chairs. The original design JH 501 had a woven seat (1949), in 1950 the chair was also equipped with a leather seat, designated JH 503.
