About this item

Wall shelve with drawers which can be uses as a small desk or vanity table. This model DD02 or "Bergeyk" was designed by Dutch designer and architect Martin Visser for ‘t Spectrum in the Netherlands in 1956.

This item by one of the most important Dutch Mid-Century designers is beautiful example of Mid-Century Dutch design. It is made of folded white lacquered sheet metal, which is a typical industrial material found in many early Dutch furniture designs. The fronts of the drawers however are made of wenge wood, a material Visser often used for his furniture designs. The combination of this two materials makes it quite a unique design by Visser, since he rarely used metal for his items.

Minimalistic Dutch Mid-Century design at its finest!
